The research was conducted for the Center for Youth Education Travnik and the Center for Youth Work Novi Sad. The aim of this research was to examine the tendencies of young people towards alcohol consumption, and the role and significance of public policies related to the availability, advertising and taxation of alcohol in protecting the rights of youth and preventing alcohol consumption. The role of public policies related to alcohol in creating attitudes about alcohol consumption and different beliefs about the consequences of alcohol consumption on health was also examined. The research was conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, and included the analysis of public policies related to alcohol, data collection through the use of online questionnaires for young people aged 15 to 30, and the implementation of focus groups. The quantitative research was conducted on a sample of a total of 1557 young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina and 2174 from Serbia. A total of 12 respondents participated in focus groups for youth, and 16 respondents participated in focus groups for representatives of relevant institutions.
