Education for Sustainable Development in the Western Balkans was a regional development cooperation program whose aim was to support implementation of education sector reforms and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) strategies in the Western Balkans by developing, implementation and dissemination of sustainable school concept at elementary school level.
The project was working with 25 partner municipalities and 25 elementary schools from these communities located in the region of the Drina River Basin shared between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia.
The role of proMENTE experts was to increase skills and knowledge of key players in ten project schools in BiH in the Drina River Basin to use methodology for planning education for sustainable development through school development planning processes.
