Key skills, qualifications and experience
Dipl.-Psych. in psychology, with special focus on clinical psychology ("Vertiefungsfach"), University of Munich.
BA in Philosophy, University of Manchester.
Substantial experience in quantitative social research as well as training and consulting around participatory monitoring and evaluation approaches, including Most Significant Change processes, Project Cycle Management, Logical Framework Analysis and M&E audits as well as quantitative assessment of program effectiveness,.
Research and evaluation fields have included voluntarism, local government, child protection, trafficking in persons, youth and Roma issues, PTSD, missing persons and conflict resolution.
Seven publications in peer-reviewed journals (Journal of Clinical Psychology, BMC Psychiatry; European Psychotherapy; Trauma und Gewalt). Reviewer for Journal of Psychosomatic research. Many presentations at international scientific conferences. International Affiliate of the American Psychological Association.
Conceived and co-edited the book Sarajevo 2000: the psychosocial consequences of war. Results of empirical research from the territory of former Yugoslavia.
Conceived, secured funding for and coordinated implementation and development of CLIPSEE - Clinical Psychology at South-East European Universities - Capacity Building Network, phases 1, 2 and 3 (Stability Pact funding via the German Academic Exchange Service) a cooperation project at professorial level involving eight Universities in the region.
Implemented a program (1997-2002, for the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Institute of Psychology, Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, Germany) of capacity building in teaching and research in psychology at the Universities of Sarajevo and Banja Luka as well as research programs on epidemiology of PTSD, dialogical therapy, ethno-political frustration, and child clinical adjustment.
1989-96: Trainer in English language skills and intercultural communication at BMW AG, Munich.
