Our contribution to careers education on the one hand and unemployment programs on the other is called "lifelong career management".
Lifelong careers management is a holistic approach to coping with the new world of work. It helps people to learn the life skills necessary to become their own careers experts. It is not about a one-off decision ("which is the right career for me?") but a continuous set of challenges which face employed as well as unemployed. When is it time to change my job? What level of salary is important to me? Does it matter if my job does not really interest me? Can I face retraining?
Lifelong careers management skills can best be learned actively, for example in a supportive group environment.
